To help us carry this mission forward, we are currently seeking a Receptionist.

This position is based in Ontario and subject to the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000.

The Role:

As the Receptionist, your main duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Creating posters and materials for fundraising events, and assisting with Food Bank referrals
  • Answering and directing phone calls, and greeting clients and visitors in a professional manner
  • Managing photocopying, faxing, and general inquiries
  • Revising and updating agency documents as needed
  • Coordinating the Backpack Program, Operation Warm Toes, and Clothes for Kids
  • Coordinating the Canadian Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)
  • Supporting preparation of the Annual Volunteer Dinner and Annual General Meeting
  • Acting as meeting scribe for staff meetings and the AGM
  • Managing and updating Facebook and website content
  • Providing administrative support to program staff as required
  • Following the agency’s Health and Safety and privacy policies, and completing related training

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Secondary School Diploma or general education degree, along with a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, ideally in a rural office setting.

Your core skills should include proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools, experience updating websites and social media platforms, strong organizational and planning skills, and comfort in a public-facing administrative role. Proven ability to plan and coordinate small events or programs is an asset.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour to start
